Founded by Ciarán O’Reilly and Charlotte Moore, The Irish Repertory Theatre opened its doors in September 1988. In 1995, the theatre made its permanent home in Chelsea on three completely renovated floors of a former warehouse, allowing for both the Francis J. Greenburger Main Stage and a smaller studio space, the W. Scott McLucas Studio. The Irish Repertory Theatre is currently the only year-round theatre company in New York City devoted exclusively to bringing Irish and Irish-American works to the stage. Their 22nd Street home has recently undergone a spectacular renovation after over 10 years of fundraising, using our Stagebase® platforms to create a flexible black box studio theatre.

“We had the great fortune to have engaged the excellent services of Steeldeck® NYC to fabricate and install the risers in our newly renovated black box theatre. Every step of the process, from design, shop drawings, fabrication, and installation was implemented with precision, professionalism, and cordiality. They offered inspired ideas and produced a product that is strong and beautiful. It came in on schedule and on budget. The folks at Steeldeck® represent the very best in their field. They are rock stars!”
